Post-Remediation Verification (PRV) is the independent testing and assessment performed after mold remediation to confirm that the project achieved its intended cleanliness objectives.

What PRV Involves

Visual Inspection

A qualified third-party inspector visually examines the remediated area to ensure:

• No visible mold growth or staining
• Proper reconstruction and containment removal
• No signs of ongoing moisture intrusion

Air and Surface Sampling

Depending on the project scope, PRV may include:

• Air sampling: Comparing spore counts inside vs. outside
• Surface sampling: Verifying cleanliness of structural surfaces
• Dust sampling: Assessing particulate levels in settled dust

Documentation Review

The inspector reviews project documentation to confirm that:

• Scope was completed as planned
• Containment protocols were followed
• Source material was properly removed
