Kolten is completing stabilization, started Mon 3/9 (9k) then will hand off the project to Jared and myself at the remediation stage. Olivia is the sensitive client, they have eight month old baby and are staying in the house. Containments are being built upstairs in baby’s bedroom closet, hall bathroom, living room, and downstairs bathroom. The house was built in 1937, they’re concerned about the window seals being weak and the evidence of termites. Misty marked window in baby’s bedroom and crawlspace access. . There was a prior leak in basement (Jan) and visible water damage in attic. These concerns haven’t been addressed with homeowners yet. 3/19 - spoke to Kolten, he said Peter from Restcon did the asbestos testing. He also mentioned the homeowners thought the price in his contract was for the complete project. Despite explaining otherwise. And to be prepared for them to push back on the cost when we give them our estimate for remediation and FPC. 3/23 - I spent the day there taking photos and managing the transition of the project. Kolten introduced us to the client and we did a walk-through Tuesday 3/10. We’ll be meeting Kolten tomorrow at 10 AM to transition the project and assess what we need to prepare an estimate. When we arrived, Kolten’s guys we’re finishing up the containments & decons. Then they would be starting the demo. I worked with Kolten‘s guys to help them complete stabilization. Then I was able to take photos of the areas to be remediated in preparation for our estimate. Estimate was sent 3/26/26, waiting for approval. We conferenced with the homeowners to address concerns and discuss the best course of action. 3/28/26 we revised their estimate to accommodate their budget constraints. (closet ceiling/attic inspection on hold.) Monday 3/30/26 contract is signed, project to start tomorrow - 2 days/3 guys, possibly Thursday, if windows are installed. Friday 4/3/26 the project is complete, we're waiting on the final payment. No testing.
